FWICE has appealed to the filmmakers to avoid shooting in Turkey due to its support for Pakistan, which is affecting India’s interests.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees(FWICE) represents all the workers, technicians, and artists of the film industry. The authority has appealed to all filmmakers to avoid any kind of shoots in Turkey because of Turkey’s unwavering support towards Pakistan on the issues that affect India’s national interests.

FWICE’s Official Statement

A news report by News18 states, ‘FWICE, representing media and entertainment workers, strongly urges Indian film producers to reconsider Turkey as a shoot location. It happened due to its growing support for Pakistan, which concerns India’s national security interests.

The authority added, ‘FWICE firmly believes ‘Nation Comes First.’ Turkey’s inconsistent support for Pakistan raises national security and integrity concerns.’

Furthermore, FWICE urged the entertainment industry, ‘We appeal to the Indian film fraternity to stand in solidarity with the nation. Also, the industry must boycott Turkey as a film location until Turkey revisits its diplomatic stance.’
