The claims of Gram Chikitsalay being plagiarised are surfacing on the internet as a filmmaker from Kolkata has accused Vinay Pathak of using his original script of Quack Shankar without his permission.

Ahead of the release of Gram Chikitsalay, a controversy has arisen wherein the actor Vinay Pathak has been accused by Anindyabikas Datta for copying his original script titled 'Quack Shankar.' Anindyabikas Datta, who is a registered member of the Screenwriters Association (SWA), took to his Facebook to share the incident wherein he posted multiple screenshots along with a clarification in his post. The post stated, 'I am a writer/filmmaker and a member of SWA. An incident of copyright/IP rights violation has happened with one of my registered screenplays, QUACK SHANKAR(Ref. No.1607055694, Dated 04/12/2020).
Further, he insisted that the Gram Chikitsalay’s trailer accurately portrays not only the storyline but also the characters. Moreover, he stated that these elements are very similar to his original concept.

Amid these allegations, Vinay Pathak hasn't responded yet to these allegations. Currently, there aren't any official updates from the Gram Chikitsalay's team about these allegations.
