Gully Boy to be India’s official entry to Oscars 2020

Director Zoya Akhtar is one of the most versatile and talented filmmakers of Bollywood. Some of her masterpieces include Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do and this year's phenomenal success Gully Boy. Adding another huge feather to her cap, the filmmakers Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has been selected as India’s official entry to the 92nd Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.

 

Gully Boy was recently showcased at the esteemed Sundance film festival, Berlin Film Festival and also screened in Tokyo. If the film wins, it will be a moment of pride and joy not just for the film’s team, but also for India as a country being recognized for its filmmaking. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
