The court has granted bail to Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Faria, who was arrested on charges of attempted murder. The Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court issued this order on Tuesday. On that day, her lawyer had applied to the court seeking bail for the actress. It was granted. 

We all know that the actress was arrested at the immigration checkpost of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Bangladesh on her way to Thailand. It happened Sunday morning. According to Bangladeshi media sources, a case was filed against Nusrat Faria on charges of attempted murder during the July uprising. 

During the hearing, Nusrat's lawyer told the court that the actress was not in the country at the time when was the case filed against her. However, CMM court chief PP Omar Farooq Farooqui strongly opposed this claim. He said, 'Nusrat is one of the associates of fascist Sheikh Hasina.' He also said that actor Firdous is being sought. He also claimed that he became an MP by rigging the elections. He also claimed in the court that artists like Nusrat and Firdous helped to extend Sheikh Hasina's term in office.
