Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is one of the finest actor’s of the Hindi film industry, but he had his nervous moments at the beginning of his career too. The superhit film Bombay to Goa which has clocked 50 years starred Big B in the lead along with Aruna Irani, Mehmood and many more. Ali shared a memory of senior Bachchan during the time he had to shoot a song. The actor apparently lay awake the entire night. He said, “Amitabh tossed and turned unable to sleep.” When Ali asked him what was troubling him, he replied, “Bhidu, tomorrow morning I will be singing and dancing before the camera for the very first time… I don’t know what will happen.”

Actress Aruna Irani who was fairly new in the industry too said that choreographer P L Raj was a tough task master and prepared them for a song sequence. She said, “All that effort resulted in the final outcome, which was so impactful. Particularly in my favourite duet song ‘Dil Tera Hai Main Bhi’, composed so beautifully by genius R D Burman.” Interestingly, Irani and Bachchan shot for another song called ‘Tum Meri Zindagi Mein’ but it was deleted from the film, as the director felt it was affecting the rhythm of the storyline.
