Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the WAVES as a major platform where creativity will meet Coding. Software will blend with the storytelling and Art will merge with the augmented reality. He urged the young creators to come forward and make the most of this opportunity, dream big and put in all their efforts to realise their vision.


WAVES 2025 in their four day summit has the tagline ‘ Connecting Creators Connecting Countries’. Positioning India as the global hub for media , entertainment and digital innovations by bringing together the industry leaders, creators and policy makers across the world.


PM Modi Champions Youth-Led Creative Revolution at WAVES 2025 Summit


The Prime Minister said he had unwavering confidence in India’s content creators. Highlighting their free-flowing creativity is redefined in the global landscape. He said the spirit of the youth should have creators who will have no barriers or boundaries or hesitation to innovate and thrive. His personal experience with his interaction with the youth of today is the young creators, gamers or the digital artists have witnessed first hand energy and talent derived from India’s creative ecosystem. 


Modi while acknowledging the vision of WAVES also acknowledged that India had a massive young population which is the driving force in the new creative dimensions such as reels, podcasts, games, animation, and AR-VR formats etc. The Prime Minister confirmed that WAVES is the new platform designed and redefined for the new generation. One that will enable the young minds to reimagine and redefine the creative revolution with their new energy and efficiency.


Shri Modi also emphasised on the technology that is influencing the human lives and that we should preserve the emotional sensitivity and the rich culture. He stated the creative world has the power to foster compassion and deepen the social consciousness among the masses. 


The goal is to not to create robots but to nurture young individuals with sensitivity, emotional depth and their intellectual richness should be brought forward in terms of the quality.




Cultural Revival at WAVES 2025


The Prime Minister stressed on the importance of art, music, drama and story telling which keep the human sensibilities alive for thousands of years. He urged to reinforce these traditions and to build a more secure and compassionate future for posterity. 


WAVES 25 is a vital platform with cultural integrity and will instil positive values. Modi also warned that neglecting this responsibility will have grave consequences for future generations. Emphasising on the impact of technology, Prime Minister highlighted the WAVES to be served as bridge connecting the Indian creators with the global storytellers and global visionaries which in turn will help to transform gamers to global champions.


Shri Modi has invited international investors and creators to come forward and make India as their content playground and explore the country’s vast creative ecosystems. He urged them to dream big Modi not only encouraged the investors but also called the Indian youth to share one billion untold stories with the world.


The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi concluded by extending his warm wishes to all the participants of the inaugural WAVES Summit. Those dignitaries who were present at the event were the Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnis, Union Ministers Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dr. L. Murugan.


Shri Modi with a vision aims that WAVES will unlock a $ 50 billion market by the 2029 expanding India’s footprint in the global entertainment economy. WAVES 2025 India is also hosting the Global Media Dialogue (GMD) for the very first time. The Summit will also feature WAVES Bazaar, a global marketplace with over 6100 buyers, 5200 sellers and will have 2100 projects. It aims to connect buyers and sellers and ensure a wide reach for the networking and business opportunities. Prime Minister visited and interacted with the creators from the 32 Create in India Challenges which was launched nearly a year ago and had garnered over one lakh registrations.  


WAVES 2025 will witness the biggest participation from over 90 countries, with 10,000 delegates, 1000 creators and 300+ companies and the 350+ Startups.   The Summit will also feature 42 complete sessions , 39 breakout sessions and 32 masterclasses which will span across the diverse sectors including broadcasting infotainment , AVGC-XR films and the digital media.
