Highway Nights Is A True Incident, Film Director Shubham Singh Said - "I Got Inspiration To Make A Film From A Little Girl"

The story idea for Highway Nights movie can come from anywhere. Talking about Prakash Jha starrer short film Highway Nights, the idea of making this film came to its producer-director Shubham Singh at a dhaba. Shubham says, 'Sometimes an incident touches your heart.

I was sitting in a dhaba on a highway. There he met a girl. She was engaged in prostitution just so that she could get food. The truth is so dark that I did not want to show it. I had to convey an important message to people through entertainment. I included some imaginary things in it. I think education is the only way to get out of the quagmire of prostitution whose message is in this. Prakash plays a truck driver in the film, Who helps that girl. Shubham says Prakash sir already knows how to drive a truck. I was surprised to know this. He has driven the truck himself, no body double was needed. He and none of the actors have taken a single penny for doing this film.

He adds, I followed him for four months, then he said yes. Earlier the name of the film was Gujarat Highway. He was the one who suggested the name Highway Nights. Earlier, I was afraid that how would I direct Prakash sir. But the ease with which he worked, felt like I was working with a budding artiste. We shot the film in two nights.
