Indian Government Bans 25 OTT Apps Including ULLU, ALTT For Obscene Content

In a significant crackdown on digital vulgarity, the Indian government has officially banned 25 OTT applications for streaming obscene and objectionable content.
This list includes several well-known adult content platforms such as ULLU, ALTT, Big Shots, MoodX, and Desiflix.
Major Crackdown: 25 Streaming Apps Blocked for Violating Indian Laws
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, these apps were in violation of Indian laws pertaining to the distribution of explicit material. The government has directed all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block these apps immediately.

These apps were reportedly streaming sexually explicit series and films, causing public concern over their influence. With this move, the government aims to reinforce accountability among OTT creators and uphold India’s content guidelines and moral codes. More apps may come under scrutiny soon.
