Javed Akhtar Gets Police Protection At His House

For his apparent comments on banning the ghoonghat, the Karni Sena has given death threats to lyricist Javed Akhtar. An apology has been demanded from the ‘Gully Boy’ lyricist by the fringe community saying, that it has hurt their sentiments.

 

The popular poet has said that he and his friends have always worked towards women empowerment and a burqa as well as a ghoonghta only represses women. Javed Akhtar has said that just for mentioning ghoonghat once, he is asked to apologise, which would be unfair and destroying the credibility of his fight against the mullahs for banning the burqa as well.
