Karan Johar Promises No Controversies With His Period Drama

As most historic movies that have made it on the silver screen in Bollywood, there always has been some or the other issue, circling it. Be it Padmaavat or Jodha Akhbar, a little glitch here and there has always escalated into a big controversy. Director Karan Johar, who will be making his comeback after a long time with Takht, is sure his period drama won’t have to deal with this issue. This he is certain of this as he is extremely respectful to all religions and its history. The director will be foraying into this genre of films for the very first time and it is a multi starrer.
Takht stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal. Set in the Mughal era, it tells the story of emperor Aurangzeb and his brother Dara Shukoh.
