Army Getup! Karan Tacker in Anupam Kher's 'Tanvi The Great'
While the buzz continues, the makers have officially revealed one cast member from the movie! Actor Karan Tacker will make his silver screen debut with the role of an army man in veteran actor-director Anupam Kher's upcoming movie, 'Tanvi The Great'. Tacker's first look as Captain Samar Raina was released on his birthday, creating a buzz.
Kher, obviously impressed with Tacker's previous performances in 'Special Ops' and 'Khakee: The Bihar Chapter,' appreciated the actor for his natural ability to portray complex characters. He was sure that Tacker would represent the character of an Indian Army officer with grace and dignity.
Tacker, meanwhile, described the opportunity as a 'dream realised' and thanked his mentor for working with him for years. He appreciated the challenge of portraying Captain Samar Raina and felt privileged to be representing India at the world-famous Cannes Film Festival, where the film will have its world premiere at Marche du Film.
'Tanvi The Great' boasts a strong cast led by Iain Glen, Boman Irani, and others, music by Oscar winner M M Keeravani, and sound design by Resul Pookutty. Anupam Kher Studios and NFDC are presenting the film, whose release date is to be announced.
