Kareena Kapoor Slams Prada: Flaunts Kolhapuri Slippers With Pride

Kareena Kapoor took a dig at the prominent luxury brand and showed her indigenous slippers. Kareena Kapoor wrote something about the the international fashion brand Prada on social media on Sunday.

She Was Seen Flaunting Her Kolhapuri

Along with this, she has also given a strong message to support Indian traditional craftsmanship. Kareena is currently holidaying in London with her family. During this time, she shared a picture from the beach side, in which she is comfortably sitting somewhere poolside in a white coloured outfit. Shiny silver Kolhapuri slippers are seen on her feet. In this post, Kareena mentioned, Sorry, not Prada. but my original Kolhapuri. Along with this, she also added a heart emoji along with laughing and punching emojis.  By this, Kareena also stated it clear that she would prefer to wear classic leather sandals instead of luxury brands.

What was the Prada controversy? Her post comes at a time when Prada received severe criticism after the men's 2026 fashion show in June where the brand introduced slip-ons, which it described as open-toed flat leather sandals. These shoes were very similar to India's traditional Kolhapuri slippers. Priced at US$800, these sandals sparked outrage online as the brand failed to recognize its cultural significance.

In which film will she be seen? Talking about the work front, Kareena was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again which was released in the year 2024.
