Kunal Kapoor Starrer The Empire Promises A Spectacular Experience, Trailer Released

The upcoming web series The Empire will enthrall audiences with its spectacular show of vivid landscapes, jaw dropping battle scenes and incredible characters. The makers have finally unveiled its trailer and given us a glimpse into the world of the humongous empire that is fascinating and entertaining. The series is based on Alex Rutherford’s novel Empire of the Moghul: Raiders from the North. The show has a stellar star cast that includes Shabana Azmi, Kunal Kapoor, Dino Morea, Rahul Dev, Aditya Seal, Drashti Dhami and Sahher Bambba. The series is a fictional tale of how a young king is faced with a tumultuous challenge as rampaging armies and merciless enemies threaten his fate, throne and even survival.

 

The Empire is directed by debutant director Mitakshara Kumar who has also co-written this epic tale with Bhavani Iyer, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. It is presented by well known Bollywood filmmaker Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment. The 8 episode series has been shot across various locations in India and Uzbekistan. 

 

Speaking of his experience actor Kunal Kapoor said, “We have heard many stories about Babur and the Mughals, but very little about who they were, where they came from and how they came into India. In this fictional take, this is a character with a lot of complexities, and that is what intrigued me as an actor. The trailer is just a small glimpse into the world of The Empire.” The series will stream on Disney+Hotstar on 27th August 2021.
