Lara Dutta And Prateik Babbar Give A Glimpse Into Their No-Filter Lives In The ‘Hiccups And Hookups’ Trailer

The upcoming comedy Hiccups And Hookups’ is a no-holds-barred drama into the complicated lives of brother-sister duo Akhil and Vasu. The makers have unveiled the film’s trailer and it will instantly grab your attention at the unconventional relationships. The roles of the bold and flirt expert brother is played by Prateik Babbar while the confused, single ready to mingle mother of a teenager is played by Lara Dutta. The two discuss not just their day to day lives but also their sexcapades with equal enthusiasm. The film is a Kunal Kohli directorial.  

Talking of her unconventional role Lara recently stated, “Playing the lead who is 40 on screen is an empowering feeling. The fact that Lionsgate Play chose to tell the story of a 40-year-old woman and highlight subjects that are taboo or otherwise don’t find a voice, was exciting for me to delve into. There are many layers to Vasudha’s character and she is highly relatable because of the kind of situations and scenarios she finds herself in. I am keen to see how the viewers react to our show.” While Prateik said, “Akhil was. A lot of fun to play. He is an entrepreneur who struck gold with his start-up and wants to engage in relationships which don’t come with the permanence tag.” Hiccups and Hookups will stream on Lionsgate Play from 26th November 2021.
