The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Dev Anand’s niece Gina Narang . She expressed gratitude and requested for privacy for the family while they cope with the loss . She expressed that the family is mourning the passing away of Suneil Anand and they are comforted by the outpouring love, prayers and support for which they are truly grateful. However, she has requested for privacy to help the family navigate together during these difficult times.

Suneil Anand was born to the legendary actor and filmmaker Dev Anand, the ever-green actor of the Indian cinema and his wife actress Kalpana Kartik. Suneil Anand grew up under the powerful shadow of his illustrious father, one of the greatest icons of Hindi cinema. Suneil Anand had made his debut in Anand Aur Anand a film of 1984 directed by his father Dev Anand to introduce his son to the silver screen.  Other than that Suneil Anand had maintained a very low profile and remained closely connected to the Anand family. 


Suneil Anand’s passing away has saddened the admirers of Anand family and the film fraternity who remember the valuable contribution Dev Anand has done to the Indian cinema over last 4 to 5 decades.   The family has yet to announce further details on Suneil Anand’s last rites.
