Maareesan’s trailer, featuring Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu, was launched on Monday, offering fans a preview into a comic drama infused with emotional undertones.

The film has Fahadh’s character trying to dupe an Alzheimer’s patient (Vadivelu) on a road trip through Tamil Nadu.

Fahadh and Vadivelu Reunite For Dark Comedy

Directed by Sudheesh Sankar and produced by Super Good Films, Maareesan is a special milestone for the studio as the company’s 100th production. The trailer starts out with picturesque imagery and nostalgic Mayabazaar music and soon descends into a zany con arrangement where comedy and heartbreak start to intertwine.

Vadivelu, in a rare misty-eyed role, injects the film with humor and heart, while Fahadh is a slick-talking charmer drifter with ulterior motives. The tale spins out as their road trip from Nagercoil to Tiruvannamalai gets hijacked with surprises, police shenanigans, and acts of conscience.

Alzheimer’s Twist Adds Suspense To Con Drama

With Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and Kalaiselvan Sivaji’s cinematography, it’s a promised technically good road movie and some very good performances. Maareesan is all geared up for its theater release on July 25, and even post-theatrical rights have been snagged by Netflix, ramping up excitement in Tamil cinema aficionados.
