After the success of Made In India: A Titan Story streaming on Prime Video OTT and  T. Series Films along with Almighty Motion Pictures have announced their yet another ambitious project.  A premium multi seasonal biographical drama, The TATAs. Inspired by Girish Kuber’s award-winning book, The Tatas: How a family built a Business and a Nation.  The series is a chronicle with extra ordinary legacy of one of India’s most influential business families and the role they played in shaping modern India. 

THE TATAS will go beyond corporate milestones to explore the personal journeys, their vision, the values and the sacrifices of the leaders who helped to transform the Tata Group into one of the biggest global powerhouses.  The narrative in the biographical drama will unfold across four defining generations of the family, beginning with the founder Jamshetji Tata whose dream that was carried forward giving India, Tata Steel, the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and laid the foundation for the Indian Institute of Science. 

The project The Tatas is a tribute to the ideas, institutions and values that helped build a modern India. 

The story highlights on Sir Dorabjee Tata, Sir Ratan Tata, Lady Meherbai Tata on their efforts in expanding the Tata Steel, establishing the Tata Trusts and being the pioneering philanthropists.  The third chapter of the series will focus on J.R.D. Tata which will showcase his groundbreaking contribution towards the Indian aviation, Tata Motors and the launch of the Tata Consultancy (TCS).  Finally, the narrative will celebrate Ratan Tata and his visionary leadership that transformed the conglomerate into the globally recognised brand through his strategic acquisitions and consumer focused innovations like the Titan. 

Karan Vyas, the acclaimed screen writer who penned Made In India: A Titan Story has been entrusted with adapting the book on the screen. Produced by Bhushan Kumar who says the Titan has reaffirmed the audience’s appetite for inspiring and success stories of India, deep rooted in the nation’s heritage.  Co-produced by Prabhleen Sandhu who described the project as a tribute to the ideas, institutions and values that contributed towards the building of modern India. 

Currently the script is being developed. THE TATAS is expected to become one of India’s biggest premium streaming projects.  The announcement for the casting and direction is expected later this year.  The series will aim to deliver a powerful blend of history, emotions, leadership and nation building for audience on a global platform across worldwide.
