Mahavtar Narsimmha Creates History, Becomes First Indian Animated Film To Cross ₹200 Crore Worldwide

Animated film Mahavtar Narsimmha has stormed past ₹200 crore in worldwide box office collections, becoming the first Indian animated film to achieve this feat.

Released on July 25, the movie has, according to filmmakers, surpassed Hanuman and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to become the highest-grossing animated film in India.

Hombale Productions Celebrates ₹210 Crore Milestone

The film is backed by Hombale Productions. On Monday, they cited on Instagram, '₹210 crores+ worldwide gross & counting. Mahavtar Narsimmha continues its glorious run, shattering records and winning the love of millions worldwide,' read the caption of the post.

Blockbuster Run in Third Week

Mahavtar Narsimha is trending well in its third week. Analyst Sumit Kadel endorsed it as a blockbuster, saying, “#MahavatarNarsimha (Hindi) delivers a MIND-BOGGLING ₹39 Cr net in its third weekend, showing a massive jump on Saturday over Friday, followed by another strong rise on Sunday.”

This animated mythological film was released in a total of five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film is performing especially well in the Hindi and Telugu markets. Giving tough competition to Saiyaara at the box office, this film explores the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. After Mahavtar Narsimmha, the makers plan to bring a total of six more parts in this universe.
