Sometime back, fans were eager to see a showdown between Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. Adding to the anticipation was the recently released poster of the film Selfiee. However, while they were eager to know more about the film at the trailer launch this week, the event has now been postponed till the weekend due to the arrival of honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the city. The Selfiee trailer launch, which was expected to be held with much fanfare on January 19.  will be attended by not only the protagonists Emraan Hashmi and Akshay Kumar, but also the rest of the film's team.

The plan has been put on hold ever since PM Narendra Modi visited Mumbai to launch a new metro line in the city. Due to the extensive security, road access to many areas has been blocked and some restrictions have been added in terms of public transport as well. Looking at the situation, the makers of the film, Dharma Productions, decided to reschedule the launch to some other day and they have chosen Sunday 22nd January for the event.

Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames, and Cape of Good Films have come together for the fun film Selfiee which is a remake of Malayalam film Driving License starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. The Hindi version also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty as the leading ladies and is directed by Raj Mehta. The film is slated to release on February 24.
