Malyalam Actor Dileep Shankar Found Dead In A Hotel Room

50-year-old Malayalam actor Dileep Shankar was found dead in his hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram, on Sunday, December 29.

Dileep Shankar was known for his roles in several Malayalam serials, including Amma Ariyathe, Sundari, and Panchagni. He was reportedly in Thiruvananthapuram for the shooting of Panchagni.

The actor was last seen outside his hotel room where he checked in two days ago. The hotel staff noticed no activity from his room and grew suspicious staff. They tried reaching out to the actor, who had locked the room from inside.

The police broke open the room door to find the actor was lying dead. As per postmortem reports the actor died of an internal injury two days ago.

While the exact cause of death remains unclear, police sources confirmed that Shankar had been experiencing health issues and was undergoing treatment. Investigations are underway in the case.
