‘Mental Hai Kya’ Is Legal Commotion

The Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) has raised an alarm over the title of the upcoming Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao movie, Mental Hai Kya. The posters of the movie are also sending the wrong message to the world about mental illness as per what the board has reported. It has said to curb any scene or dialogue in the movie that violates the rights of people with mental disorders.

 

Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone who recently spoke about mental health and her struggles with it has brought the issue to the fore in a respectable way but titles like ‘Mental Hai kya’ are derogatory and insulting to the people suffering from ill mental health.
