On May 13, 2025, over 120 participants of the 72nd Miss World beauty pageant, coming from 109 nations, participated in a lively heritage walk along Hyderabad's historic Charminar and Laad Bazaar. The activity highlighted the city's rich cultural fabric and sought to popularise Telangana's heritage on a world stage.


The delegates were greeted warmly with traditional 'Hadrami marfa' and 'Naubat' drum performances, establishing a celebratory atmosphere for the evening. While walking through the crowded Laad Bazaar, famous for its 400-year-old tradition of selling bangles, pearls, and perfumes, the contestants interacted with local artisans and observed live demonstrations of bangle-making.


The heritage walk concludes with a cultural night at Chowmahalla Palace, showcasing Hyderabad's royal legacy. The walk not only showcased the city's architectural wonders but also its timeless traditions and arts. Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad (May 7-31) blends beauty with cultural exchange, uniting women from diverse backgrounds.
