Mumbai International Film Festival 2025 Announces Dates, Categories, And Cash Prizes

The Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025, organized by NFDC and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will be held in Pune from September 24 to September 28, 2025. Submissions close on August 31, 2025.

MIFF 2025 to honor top films with big cash prizes

This year, the festival offers exciting awards and cash prizes across various categories. For feature films (60 to 140 minutes), the Best Film will receive ₹21,000, Second Best ₹11,000, and Third Best ₹5,000. The Best Animation Film and Best Documentary will each win ₹5,000.

A special 90-second film category will award trophies and cash prizes to the top three films. Special Jury Awards include Best Ad Short Film, Best Marathi Short Film, Best Romantic Short Film, Best South Indian Short Film, Best International Short Film, and Best National Bengali Film.

MIFF 2025 reveals prize structure across multiple categories

Music video awards include ₹5,000 for the first prize, ₹3,000 for second, and ₹2,000 for third. Additionally, individual honors of ₹2,100 each will be given for Best Cinematographer, Best Music, Best Director, Best Acting (Male & Female), Best Child Artist (Boy & Girl), Best Screenplay, and Best Short Film Editing.
