Mumbai Police Arrests Alleged Accused In Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Incident

Mumbai police arrested Saif Ali Khan's stabbing incident and accused a Bangladeshi national from Thane, who's a 30-year-old man who will be in police custody for five days.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 9, Dixit Gedam said,' We arrested the accused from Thane last night. He has been identified as Mohammad Islam and is of Bangladeshi origin. We have applied sections of the Passports Act against him as he could not produce any proof to show he was Indian and we found some proof to show he is Bangladeshi.'


As per the police records, the accused from Bangladesh identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam changed his name to Vijay Das after entering India. He came to Mumbai about six months back and was working at a hotel in Thane, but he left that job and was looking for work.


Gedam informed that the accused didn’t have any prior criminal record and was not aware that he was breaking into Khan’s residence. He is suspended from entering the house with an intention of committing Robbery, but panicked after a confrontation with Khan and escaped without stealing anything.


The alleged accused stabbed the actor Saif Ali Khan multiple times in an alleged failed robbery attempt at his residence in Bandra on Thursday morning.
