Naseeruddin Shah Comes To Diljit's Defense Amid 'Sardaar Ji 3' Controversy

‘Senders to Pakistan should go to Kailasha’  this is what Naseeruddin Shah said in support of Diljit Dosanjh. People have been caught in the controversies surrounding Diljit Dosanjh’s film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. It has not been released in India but has been released abroad.

The controversy is growing in India every day, and people are demanding everything from banning Diljit from movies to revoking his passport. Amidst all this, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has joined the conversation.

Diljit in Hot Water Over 'Sardaar Ji 3' Pakistani Collaboration

Diljit is being trolled on social media, and some people are calling this collaboration anti-India. Naseeruddin Shah expressed his displeasure through a Facebook post, calling these accusations baseless and clearly stating that Diljit Dosanjh is being targeted only because he is a famous face. He said that the casting of the film is the responsibility of the director, not the actor.

What did Naseeruddin Shah say

He wrote in his post, 'I stand strongly with Diljit. Jumla Party's dirty trickster division is looking for an opportunity to attack him, and they think that now they have a chance. It is very unfortunate that nobody knows the people who are actually responsible for the casting of the film, while Diljit is a famous name. That’s why he is being targeted.'

He wrote, 'What these goons want is that the common people of India and Pakistan stop talking to each other. I have some close relatives and dear friends in Pakistan. No one can stop me from meeting them or sending them my love whenever I want. To those saying ‘go to Pakistan,’ I will say, go to Kailash.'

As soon as the post went viral, he started being trolled, and people said that he is not supporting the country but instead is supporting people who are betraying it. Once again, many people called him anti-national. However, there are also some who agree with the actor's views.
