New Movie ‘Sher Shivraj Hai’ Announced By Director Digpal Lanjekar

On the eve of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary, filmmaker  Digpal Lanjekar has announced the fourth movie in the series based on the Maratha king. The other movies include Farzand, Fatteshikast and Jung Jauhar. The latter is yet to be released as it was halted due to the corona virus pandemic. It is expected to be released this year itself. The fourth film will go on floors soon and has raised expectations from the audience as they will get to see different aspects of the Maratha warrior and also his various war and psychological methods.

 

‘Sher Shivaji Hai’ will be based on events that include Shivaji Maharaj killing Afzal Khan near the foothills of Pratapgad.Most of the pre-production work of the movie is complete. Some of the other period films waiting to hit the big screens include Sarsenapati Hambirrao by Pravin Tarde and Chhatrapati Tararani, among others.
