Late Bollywood actress Smita Patil was one of the finest actresses our Film industry. Her early untimely demise on 13 December 1986, left the industry shaken and has left a big void. The actress’s son actor Prateik Babbar shared a lovely monochrome picture of the Arth actress on his social media account and wrote, “Over the years.. iv tried to imagine & create the perfect image of her.. in my mind & heart.. we've arrived at a very special place.. a very precious place.. now.. she's the perfect mother.. the perfect woman.. the perfect role model.. the apple of every little boys eye.. that perfect mother every little boy idolises.. & wants to grow up to be like.. the one that will never leave your side.. & stay #4ever.”

Raj Babbar too shared an emotional tribute for his late wife and wrote, “You were just 31 when you left us. The short pathway of memories you walked, left so many indelible impressions that your absence isn't easy to believe. You saw so little & yet had so much to showcase. Your hasty retreat from our lives would always remain unexplained.”

Meanwhile Bala actor Ayushmann Khurrana shared his Tribute for Smita and wrote, “And she was just 31 when she passed away on 13th Dec 1986.” He also chose the Marathi song Mee Raat Taakli from her movie.
