Shri Narendra Modi expressed the enthusiasm of the 32 challenges, 800 finalists who have been selected to recognise their talent. Congratulating them, he said they have now created an opportunity to make a mark on the global creative map. Narendra Modi expressed that he looks forward to their enthusiasm with their first-hand creations showcased at the Bharat Pavilion at the WAVES 25.


While addressing he highlighted the initiative of WAVES, that it’s a great potential platform to encourage new creators and connect them to the emerging new markets. He said the concept of linking the buyers to the sellers in the art industry was a great concept. Modi also stated that this perception of linking buyers and sellers in the art industry will not only strengthen the creative economy but also provide fresh opportunities for new artists.


Modi remarked just as a mother weaves dreams for her child, helps a child begin its journey by introducing sound and music through lullaby, the creative professionals will shape the dreams of artists with a vision in their mind to inspire the individuals and influence generations ahead through the art bringing creativity and human experience together which reflects a deep connect.


He said the essence of WAVES is a collective effort from various artists, creators, and industrialists who will elevate WAVES to a new height in the years ahead.


He urged the counterparts to continue the enthusiasm with support and hand-holding and make the first edition of the summit a grand success. He announced that following the first WAVE, many more exciting WAVES Awards will be launched going forward.


WAVES Awards will be a prestigious and an honour in the world of Art and Creativity. A sustainable commitment that will win the hearts of the people across the world with one common goal: to inspire generations ahead through creativity.




Highlighting India’s Rapid Economic Progress


Stating that the nation is on its way to an economic progress and becoming the third largest economy, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that India holds the number one position in Global Fintech Adoption and is the second largest mobile manufacturer in the world and has the third largest start up I the ecosystem across the world. 


One of the most developed nations, India is not only a home to a billion-plus population but also has a billion-plus stories to take forward. Referring to the country’s rich artistic heritage, Modi recalled that two thousand years ago Bharata Muni’s Natya Shastra stressed on the power of art. He further spoke about Kalidasa’s Abhijnana -Shankuntalam who had introduced a new direction in classical drama.




Prime Minister Modi highlighted our deep cultural roots stating that in India, every street has a story to offer. Every mountain has a song and every river hums a tune. He emphasised that India has six lakh villages and each village has its own folktale and has a unique story style, preserving its history through folklore. Each state, each village has its significance in Indian music in the form of bhajans, ghazals, classical compositions or a contemporary tune or melodies with rhythm which is close to the soul.


Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the concept of Naad Brahma the divine sound which is deep-rooted and artistic. Modi remarked on the Indian mythology and its divinity is through music and dance, citing Lord Shiva’s Tandav and Damru as a cosmic sound, Goddess Saraswati’s Veena and Lord Krishna’s sound of flute, Lord Vishnu’s Shankh(conch). All these are positive energies that reflect in our rich heritage for the past many many decades. The invaluable treasures spanning across thousands of years with the stories that are timeless and truly thought-provoking, which are about the culture, science, sports and bravery.
