Filmmaker Priyadarshan seems to have landed himself in a soup after his hesitation to direct the third installment of super hit film Hera Pheri. In fact the South director didn’t even want to make Phir Hera Pheri as he thought the plot was being dragged. The 2000 released film starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The same cast even graced the second installment. Now, producer Firoz Nadiadwala claims that Priyadarshan left the shoot midway of the second installment and even tried to convince the lead actors not to do the film.

With these allegations, the Hulchul director finally broke his silence and clarified , “I’ve nothing against anyone. The so-called incident happened 20 years back. Why are you talking about it now? And why should I say that I didn’t do this, or do that.” He then added, “I did that movie and went on to do many more films. I’m sitting on the 95th film of my career. If I had such behaviour, I wouldn’t have been in the industry.”

On Firoz’s claim about making a depressing version of the film, Priyadarshan said, “It’s made frame by frame. So how can someone say that I made a depressing version, or that it was too long. The original was a super-duper hit, and that’s why a Hindi remake was made. Aur itne saal baad kyun achanak se bol rahe hain. I’ve never said anything about anyone. Recently, I just said that I don’t want to do part three.”
