Producer Of ‘Newton’ To Make His Directorial Debut

Basking in the success of his last films Masaan and Newton, producer Manish Mundra is all set to make his directorial debut with a social drama that will be inspired by true events. This will add another feather to his cap as the producer is also an author and an established photographer. The screenplay of his yet to be titled film will be written by Darab Farooqui of Dedh Ishqiya fame. The film will also be co-directed by Supreet K Singh.

 

The new film will be based on an Indian women’s battle with corruption, cops and the judiciary system. The movie will go on floors in January and will be shot in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Founder of Drishyam Films, Manish Mundra will have quite a few movie productions this year namely; Aadhar, Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi, starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Tryst With Destiny, among others. He has also produced a Marathi film called Ghaath.
