Rahul Bhat for the third time is set to appear at Cannes for his Hollywood debut, ‘Lost & Found in Kumbh’. The shooting for the film at Kumbh was intense and fascinating says Bhat.

Basking in the success of Netflix Black Warrant, Rahul says he has always been cast in dark or in a serious and violent role but this film gave him an opportunity to do something different.

A Heartwarming Tale Set in the Sacred Chaos of Prayagraj Mela

The film was shot at the end of the Kumbh but it was still hot and for many of us it was extremely fascinating.  He said the film is not to be taken too seriously and is going to be an engaging film for the audience.  It is a cute film and can be called a children’s film in some way. 

Sometimes actors are so immersed in their role that they forget it’s not a set but the actual place.   Rahul Bhatt said this time it was the real Kumbh.  He went on to express that he is finally enjoying the taste of success after decades.  In the past his films were critically acclaimed, and now he hears that his films are a hit.

Lost & Found in Kumbh is directed by Mayur Puri.  His debut direction and produced by Mulberry Films from Los Angeles. The story is about a London-based professor who visits Kumbh mela with his British wife and son,  but he finds his ex-wife, who is from India and their son at his family home.   His father is missing.  As the family starts their search for the father, the two half-brothers get lost in the enormous crowd at the sacred Kumbh Mela Festival. The film was actually shot during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela.
