Rajnath Singh Felicitates Arun Khetarpal’s Family At Ikkis Special Screening

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid a heartfelt tribute to the family of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the Param Vir Chakra awardee, during a special screening of the upcoming film Ikkis. The event turned into an emotional and respectful moment as the bravery and sacrifice of the young war hero were remembered.
During the screening, Rajnath Singh felicitated Arun Khetarpal’s family, acknowledging the supreme courage and selfless service of the Indian Army officer who laid down his life during the 1971 Indo Pakistan war. He praised the film for bringing the inspiring story of a real life hero to the big screen and highlighted the importance of preserving such legacies for future generations.
Ikkis stars Dharmendra and Agastya Nanda and is based on the life and sacrifice of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who became the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient at the age of 21. The film aims to showcase not just battlefield heroism but also the values of duty, honour and patriotism.
The special screening was attended by dignitaries, film personalities and members of the armed forces, making it a solemn yet proud occasion that celebrated courage, sacrifice and national pride.
