Suraj Barjatiaji's Directorial Debut Film Maine Pyar Kiya" celebrates its 35th Anniversary this year, which was originally released on December 29, 1989.On the Occassion Rajshri Production announced to re-release the film.


The film also marked the debu for both Salman Khan and Bhagyashree, co-starring with Mohnish Bahl as the antagonist.


The family drama focussed especially on family relations and values, while also touched upon the themes of class, friendship and love. The film till date enjoys massive fan following owing to its memorable songs like Dil Deewana, 'Kabootar Ja Ja Ja and Maine Pyar Kiya.


One of the most memorable dialogues of the film still remembered is "Dosti ka ek usool hai madam, no sorry, no thank you."
