Actor Arvind Trivedi who glorified the villainous role of Raavan in the iconic Television show Ramayan is no more. He died on Tuesday following a massive cardiac arrest at the age of 82. Sharing his picture on social media, actor and co-star Sunil Lahiri offered his condolences writing, “Bahut dukhad Samachar hai ki Hamare Sabke Pyare Arvind bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab Hamare bich Nahin Rahe Bhagwan Unki Atma ko Shanti De (This is a very sad news. Our dear Arvind Bhai is no longer with us. May God bring peace to his soul). I am speechless I lost father figure my guide well wisher and gentleman.”

Arvind was reportedly unwell for the past few years and was unable to even walk. His nephew Kaustubh Trivedi said, “Uncle was unwell for past few years. Things only worsened over the past three years. He had to be admitted to the hospital a few times.” Ramayan was one of the most watched and iconic shows in 1987 when it first aired on DD. The show had a re-run last year during the pandemic induced lockdown and was a sweet walk down the memory lane for many who grew up watching this brilliant show. We pray Arvind Trivedi’s soul rests in peace and offer our prayers to his family to bear this loss.
