Ranveer Singh Starrer 83 To No Longer Have An IMAX Release Due To These Two Films

The upcoming sports drama 83 has been one of the most anticipated films of the year. Director Kabir Khan has held its release since 2020, and now finally is sure that it will get its due attention. The Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer was initially supposed to be released in 2D and 3D but a few days earlier the makers decided to also release it in IMAX version. However when the team approached the IMAX officials in North America they had to disappoint the makers. 

 

The IMAX officials said that the Hollywood films Spider-Man : No Way Home and The Matrix Resurrections will be releasing in cinema halls on December 16th and 22nd respectively in IMAX versions. 83 is scheduled to release on December 24th, a week after these two major films. According to IMAX management, they do not prefer releasing too many films in that version and thus the Ranveer starrer will only release in 2D and 3D. This might come as a disappointment to fans but with its grandeur and massive scale, the film will meet its destiny anyway. The film has an ensemble cast that also includes Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Boman Irani, Harrdy Sandhu and many others. Apart from this film Ranveer will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus.
