Ranveer Singh to don superhero character in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, YRF to turn it into a comic book

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, will for the first time be playing the role of a superhero in the upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The story of the film revolves around a simple Gujarati guy who acquires super powers suddenly. It is a comedy that will keep you in splits while the lead character goes through a confusing set of events. The film is similar to the Malayalam hit Minnal Murali in concept, but is presented as a comedy film. 

Recently Yash Raj, who is producing the film, announced the film and Ranveer’s character in a quirky video, calling him ‘not your regular superhero’. Aditya Chopra meanwhile has decided to turn the character into a comic book series. People, especially kids will love the character of Jayeshbhai, who is soon going to be iconic. The film will release theatrically on 13th May 2022 and if it’s successful, will be turned into a franchise. Jayeshbhai Jordaar is directed by debutant director Divyang Thakkar. Ranveer meanwhile will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus and in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
