Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey strongly condemned alleged MNS workers for attacking a Gujarati shopkeeper over not speaking Marathi, calling it disgusting and shameful.

He shared a video of the incident, tagged Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, and questioned the state's law and order.

Ranveer Shouri replied, "First of all, I am not going to respond to unknown people like you who spread hatred. Secondly, if you think that people can be taught language by beating them, then you are very wrong, and lastly... if you want to draw attention to this issue, then there are more positive and constructive ways to bring about change or protest for political gain, rather than beating up helpless people who are just trying to earn their livelihood.

Actually, a video went viral on social media in which some people had gone to a shop for food. But the matter became more worse when they attacked the shopkeeper for not speaking in Marathi language. Those people were wearing scarves associated with Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) around their neck.
