Remembering Smita Patil, the epitome of beauty with humility

Smita Patil was not your regular Bollywood film actress during her times. She had to struggle a lot especially with her unconventional looks and dark skin colour. However, with her sheer talent, grace and dedication, the actress won millions of hearts in India and worldwide. We remember the graceful and pretty actress on her 64th birth anniversary. The actress has appeared in some unforgettable movies like Mirch Masala, Arth, Waaris, Bazaar, Mandi, Namak Halaal and many more.
Not just Bollywood, but Smita left her mark on regional cinema as well. She was known to work in strong content-driven cinema, which was quite an achievement during her time. The late actresses son Prateik Babbar has left a sweet message for his mother that read, “happy birthday to my gorgeous lady” with a stunning yesteryear picture of the actress. Interestingly, 10 of her films released after her death from childbirth. She is the recipient of 2 National Awards 1 Filmfare and a Padma Shri during her career as an actress. Prateik Babbar will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Sanjay Gupta’s Mumbai Saga.
