FHF Director Shivendra Singh Dungarpur will be moderating a panel discussion titled “Restoring and Programming Classic Cinema for Contemporary Audiences” as part of the NFDC Film Bazaar Knowledge Series in Goa on November 21, 2022. The distinguished panelists include: Gerald Duchaussoy, Head of Cannes Classic, Festival de Cannes, Davide Pozzi, Director of the leading film restoration lab L’Immagine Ritrovata, Bologna, Jay Weissberg, Director of the Pordenone Silent Film Festival and Ravinder Bhakar, Director of the National Film Archive of India.

The discussion will cover the ethics and practice of film restoration, the importance of planning the afterlife of a restored film to ensure it reaches contemporary audiences and the multiple platforms available today to showcase classic films around the world.
