Director Ram Kamal was the first to call me and tell me about it. I still can't express my joy in words. I was sleeping when Ram called me. He called my mother and told me about it. Actually, Ram wanted to surprise me.'


Major Recognition By West Bengal Govt.


Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a special announcement in honour of Nathi Binodiini. She also announced that the name of the ' Star Theatre' will be changed to Nathi Binodiini's name. After this, Rukmini's mother was overjoyed at Binodiini's new achievement. The actress said, 'I used to tell my mother about the pain of Nathi Binodiini's life every day after I finished shooting. And after hearing this happy news, mothers are like that. They are just asking, tell me what you will eat.'




For Rukmini, the award is not just an achievement, but also a motivation to do better. In the words of the actress, 'This movie will remain close to my heart forever. But my biggest achievement from 'Binodiini' is 'Binodini Theatre'. I am truly honoured.'
