Salman Khan is gearing up with Farhan Akhtar to an exciting new chapter in his life with the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj and Dk.  


Discussions are on for a grand period action drama which is backed by producer Farhan Akhtar.


Salman and Farhan have been holding mulitiple meetings over the past few months to explore the potential collaboration.   The project is going to be a large-scale period drama based on one of the most iconic and celebrated figures of the Indian history.  The venture is ambitious and plans to tell the story across two films creating a massive cinematic experience for the audiences at large.


Salman Khan is impressed with the concept and is keen on moving forward in the project. 


Discussions at an early age with the project but has not yet reached the paperwork phase. Salman and Farhan have been excited about the possibility of joining forces for the first time on such a prestigious project. 




While the details of the plot, title and the director are still kept under wraps, the information is expected to emerge by the end of this year. Farhan Akhtar’s involvement is limited to producing the film under Excel Entertainment alongside Ritesh Sidhwani but he has said he will not be directing this film.  


Currently Salman Khan is busy with the film directed by Vamshi Paidipally’s action-drama entertainer and the work is expected to begin with Raj and Dk’s superhero comedy later this year. If all his plans fall into place the ambitious period action drama is likely to commence its production by the summer of 2027 marking as yet another biggest projects of Salman Khan’s career in films.
