Sanjay Leela Bhansali announces his next titled ‘Baiju Bawra’

Just a few weeks after announcing his Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made a surprise announcement of his next. The film will be a musical and titled ‘Baiju Bawra’ and will hit the big screens on the auspicious occasion of Diwali in 2021. The film will be primarily based on the revenge story of the musical legend Maverick Maestro. 

There are reports that De De Pyaar De actor Ajay Devgn will be playing the lead in the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the actor collaborated previously in the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999. Meanwhile the Padmaavat filmmaker is all set to start his next project with Alia Bhatt, based on Husain Zaidi’s novel Mafia Queens Of Mumbai.
