Bihari recalled spotting Salman walking toward his office with a file in hand and being instantly struck by his charisma. Without taking an audition, he decided to cast him on the spot. He later learned that Salman is Salim Khan’s son — a fact the actor had intentionally kept secret.
According to Bihari, had he known Salman’s lineage, he might not have cast him since the role was small and not fitting for the son of a famous writer. Salman’s humility and sincerity left a lasting impression, leading to his first film break.
