Shabana Azmi’s Car Rams Into A Truck

Veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi’s car met with a horrific accident on Saturday afternoon, when her car rammed into a speeding truck. Luckily the Neerja actress survived but was badly injured and her driver is taken into custody for negligent driving. The actress celebrated her husband and lyricist Javed Akhtar’s 75th birthday the previous day. It isn’t clear where the car was headed but the accident took place near Khalapur toll plaza at around 3:30 P.M. The Jazbaa actress was rushed to the MGM hospital in Panvel and is doing ok. Her husband was also accompanying her in the car but was unharmed.

 

Shabana Azmi is one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema with more than 120 Hindi and Bengali films to her credit. She has received 5 National Awards for her performance in films like Arth, Ankur, Khandhar, Paar and Godmother. We hope she recovers soon.
