Shahrukh Khan Launches The Meer Foundation

Named after his father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, Shahrukh Khan recently launched his charitable foundation’s website on father’s day on 16th June. The Meer foundation aims at supporting and helping acid attack survivors all over the world. The actor shared the news by tweeting “A foundation I named after my father - @MeerFoundation - aims to create a network of support for women. No better day than #FathersDay for me to introduce our website to the world.”

 

The main aim of the Meer Foundation is to empower and encourage women from all walks of life and to promote respect and humility among the men in their lives. The actor will next be heard in the Hindi version of the children’s movie ‘The Lion King’ with his son Aryan Khan lending his voice for Simba too.
