Manasi Scott is going to be a part of the much-anticipated upcoming web series called the Mujhe Tu Chahiye.  The versatile entertainer that she is a star performer and a singer, she describes her new project as deeply rewarding and that she gained creative experience. She gave the credit to the director Shankar Sri Kumar as one of the biggest reasons for her decision to make a come back on the screen. 

Reflecting on what made her come back to the web series, is that she revealed her long standing professional relationship with Shankar who has played a key role in her career.  Having collaborated with him in the past for several television series, and reality show hosting projects, she already had a sense of trust and faith in the filmmaker that attracted her to take up this project.  

Shankar Sri Kumar had told her in a conversation that he admired her kindness and had promised himself that he would cast her as an actor when he becomes a director. That heartfelt gesture on his part stayed on and it made it impossible for her to refuse or ignore his offer. 

Adding to the excitement is her chance to work with Iqbal Khan whom Manasi has not just praised for his exceptional talent and also for his humility and his professionalism.  She said she genuinely respects him for being meticulous in his craft and for someone who treats everyone on the sets as equal.

Manasi Scott is a celebrated singer and a live performer. 

Although the audience may primarily recognise Manasi Scott only as a singer, she admits having returned to acting after a gap had been challenging for her. Reconnecting with the craft that took a backseat, she had to gain all her patience and put in all her efforts but Shankar’s support and Iqbal helping her regain her confidence with rhythm has been an integral part of her wanting to make a comeback. 

However, from years of theatre in Pune to performing in school productions across India, she was in an Army school and as a child of an Amry personnel the stage has been her second home. She has even directed her first musical while she was studying in the fourth standard. She had shown early signs of becoming a performer.  With Mujhe Tu Chahiye, Manasi Scott has put herself before the audience and promises to captivate them once again through her web series and this time on the digital OTT Screen.
