Bollywood actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi have been spoken more about their weight gain in the past than their acting capabilities. The two actresses are all set to tackle the issue of body-shaming and set the record straight for the trolls. Announcing their new film incidentally titled ‘Double XL’, the two actresses spoke about struggling with weight problems in a video they shared on social media.

When Huma asks Sinha how to lose the weight they have piled on, she replies, “Just like we did for becoming a heroine for the first time.” She then adds “Have you forgotten the time when people used to say ‘Huma Qureshi is too heavy to be a leading lady?” Huma then reminds her, “And have you forgotten how people used to call you Motakshi in the comments section of your every promo and video?”

Sonakshi then questions Huma, “Are we fat-shaming each other?” to which she replies, “Why not, people consider fat-shaming a matter of pride in our country.” Sonakshi then asks her, “But why? Because those who fat-shame us, their sisters, friends or mummies are also overweight. Don't they have a right to dream?” Huma replies, “They do have a right, partner. That's why it's important to tell the story of this film.” The video brought in a lot of positive comments from users. Double XL is directed by Satram Ramani and produced by Huma and her brother Saqib Saleem with others.
