Sonakshi Sinha To Play A Paralympic Champion In Her Next

Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are all set to bring the story of Paralympic champion Deepa Malik on screen. Reportedly Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi actress Sonakshi Sinha has been approached to portray her character on screen. The athlete won a silver medal during the Rio Paralympic games in 2016 and has also received the Padma Shri and Arjuna Award.

 

This will be the first time Sonakshi Sinha will be portraying a real life character in a movie, if she does sign on the dotted line. The actress was last seen in Abhishek Verman directed multi-starrer film Kalank that was a box-office dud. She will next be seen in the Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal and later in the Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3.
