Sonam Kapoor’s Next Korean Film Remake Blind Is Delayed

The release of Sonam Kapoor's upcoming film Blind, which is a remake of the Korean film of the same name that came out in 2011, has been put off. The source disclosed to the news portal, "Initially Blind was to see a theatrical release, but it was decided to release the film directly on OTT due to the pandemic." Presently, while the dramatic arrival of the film actually stays a custom, the creators of the film are making some extreme memories finding takers for its OTT discharge." Detailing the issue the film faces further the source continues, “The makers of Blind are looking to sell the film for a staggering Rs. 40 cr.

The market's OTT players are being discouraged by this high asking price. The film will continue to be released in theaters, but this is just a formality before it is sold to any streaming service. However, as there is no OTT platform willing to pay Rs. 40 cr. the release of Blind appears to be in limbo in order to acquire the venture.”

The source further adds, “The makers of Blind have quoted a staggering Rs. 40 cr. for streaming rights of the venture.  Unfortunately, streaming platforms claim that paying such a sum is risky in today's world. In essence, neither the creators of Blind nor streaming platforms are willing to reduce the asking price, nor are they willing to spend such a sum on acquisition. Given this, Blind is undoubtedly trapped.
