Filmmaker Ritwik Pareek, after making waves across the global festivals is all set for his upcoming off beat comedy release, ‘Dug Dug’.
Gearing up the much awaited theatrical release on May 8th.
The film arrives in the theatre with a strong industry backing by the acclaimed filmmaker’s Anurag Kashyap , Nikkhil Advani , Vikramaditya Motwane and Vasan Bala.
In the much awaited unique cinematic spectacle, Dug Dug is inspired by a small village where superstition takes an unexpected turn of events leading to chaos . With superstition taking over . after a man’s death, his motorbike mysteriously became an object of worship, with the villagers believing it grants wishes. They start offering prayers and alcohol. What begins as a strange belief soon becomes a full-fledged, commercialised religion, reflecting society’s deep-rooted faith in the systems with a superstitious edge.
Dug Dug is produced under Bottle Rocket Pictures . The film is set for a theatrical rollout in association with Flip Films, led by Ranjan Singh.
The film’s journey, however, has already been astonishing with its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021.
Dug Dug has travelled across prestigious platforms like the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, and the International Film Festival of Kerala, which has further garnered widespread appreciation.
